as well as her modern culture. Istanbul is a fascinating and
colorful
city which welcomes travelers with open arms.
Day
1: Istanbul. Arrive
at Istanbul Airport, meet and transfer to the Divan Hotel for
overnight accommodations.
Day
2: St.
Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Bazaars. After breakfast,
take a tour of the Ottoman Wonders.
Visit the St. Sophia Church from the
Byzantine era, then proceed to the Blue Mosque,
one of Turkey’s largest mosques built
in the 17th Century. After
lunch, tour the Grand Bazaars specializing in carpets, leather,
ceramics, and jewelry. Enjoy your evening at leisure.
Day 3: Topkapi
Palace and Sleymaniya Mosque. After breakfast,
visit the Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Sultans of
the Ottoman Empire. After lunch, enjoy a visit to the Sleymaniya
Mosque, built in the 16th Century by the Sultan
Suleyman “The
Magnificent.” Return to the hotel for an evening of leisure,
or take in an evening of famous Turkish belly dancing and dinner
club at your hotel (optional.)
Day 4: Istanbul
at Leisure. After breakfast, enjoy a full day
of leisure, shopping or take a cruise on the Bosphorus taking
you between the two continents of Europe and Asia (optional.)
Day
5: Departure. After breakfast, transfer to the Istanbul
Airport for your final departure. Bon Voyage!
