Egypt is a land of ancient beauty and splendor enriched by centuries
of cultural achievements. Along the narrow ribbon of the Nile,
dynasties of the Kings and Queens changed the destiny of mankind
and created monumental legacies which continue to fascinate thousands
of visitors every year. We invite you to journey through the “sands
of time” back to Ancient Egypt.

Day
1: Arrive at Cairo Airport and
transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Classic
Cairo. After breakfast, visit the world’s most
prized collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities at the Egyptian
Museum including the infamous treasures of King Tutankhamun’s
Tomb. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit
the Citadel of Salah El Din and the
Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Your
day ends at the “world’s oldest shopping mall” Khan
El Khalili Bazaar, where you will find a wide array of exotic
gifts and souvenirs.
Day
3: Memphis,
Sphinx, Pyramids, and Sakkara. Your day begins with
a visit to Memphis, the capital of the
Ancient Kingdom of Lower Egypt. Stop by the celebrated 4,500-year-old
Alabaster Sphinx and the statue
of the Great King
Ramses II. Proceed
to the Necropolis
of Sakkara and visit the Step
Pyramid of Zoser and the Funeral Temple. After
lunch at a local restaurant, tour the Great
Pyramids. Partake
in an evening excursion to the Sound and Light
Show of Giza.
Day
4: Luxur. Depart
for Luxor from Cairo Airport. Enjoy a relaxing
cruise on the great River
Nile. After lunch,
visit the Temple of Luxor built by
Amenophosis III, later see the legendary Temples
at Karnak as well as the Avenue
of
Sphinxes.
Your day ends with an evening welcome drink.
Day 5: Dendera
. Sail to Dendera to visit the
Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love. Sail to Nag Hamadi
to see Abydos, the burial place for the first kings of a unified
Egypt, and the Temple of Seti 1, a 14th century pharaoh. In the evening
you will return to Dendera for a cocktail party.
Day
6: Luxor. Your day begins early in the morning
with a sail back to Luxor. Visit the Valley
of the Kings and the Valley of the
Queens and Nobles in Western Thebes as well as the
ancient underground tombs of pharaohs. See the Temple
of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari
and the Colossi
of Memmon. Enjoy an excursion to
the sound and light show of Karnak (optional.) Your Luxor experience
ends with a memorable belly dance and oriental music show.
Day
7: Esna Stop. Enjoy
a day of sailing to Esna. Tour Esna’s
Temple devoted to Khnum, the Nubian god of creation.
Your day ends with a tour through the Locks
of Esna and an evening party.
Day
8: Edfu Stop. Sail
to Edfu to take a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride to
the Temple of Horus. Later sail to
Kom-Ombo to see the Temple of Sobek and Haroeis.
Your day concludes with a traditional Egyptian dress party.
Day
9:
Aswan. Sail
to Aswan. Take a scenic afternoon felluca ride and visit the
tropical gardens of Elephantine
Island and the Masoleum
of Agha Khan which offers a breathtaking view of
Aswan. Evening dance party.
Day
10: Aswan-
Nile Cruise. Visit the High Dam, one
of the great engineering miracles of our time, used to prevent
the annual Nile
floods. Later see the Granite Quaries and
the Unfinished
Obelisk which provided archaeologists with
clues about the method used in cutting the obelisks, and the Temple
of Isis on Philae Island, used
in ancient times to house the priesthood of Osiris. Excursion
to Abu Simbel via air (optional.) Evening Nubian show.
Day 11: Cairo – Leisure. Disembark the ship after breakfast
and transfer to the Aswan Airport for flight to Cairo. Upon arrival,
transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in
Cairo.
Day 12: After
breakfast, transfer to the Cairo Airport for final departure. Bon Voyage!
