Whole Day: El Alamein Leave Alexandria at 08:00 am by car through the Western Desert road (70 miles) to El Hamam & El Alamein (The Two Flags), where one of the most decisive battles of World War II (October 1942) took place. Visit of the battlefield, the Allied Forces cemetery, Rommel's headquarters, & the German & Italian memorial monument. Cold lunch will be served at the "El Alamein Hotel" on the beach. Return to Alexandria in the afternoon. Half Day: Montazah Palace & Park Along the Corniche (promenade) 20 kms, view the principal beaches of Ramlieh (residential suburb of Alexandria) to Montazah. Visit the fabulous Palace, the attached museum, the beaches & the beautiful park. Half Day: Sightseeing in town Drive through town starting from Mohamed Ali Square to Pompey's Pillar, the Catacombs of Kom El Shukafa, the Greco-Roman Museum, the Mosque of Abu El Abbas, the Fortress of Quait-Bey & the Roman Theatre.
